Everything started in Garden Grove, California. As Kittyhawk’s original facility, the company headquarters has been the foundation of our Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) services for more than four decades. It remains a vital part of our ability to deliver manufacturing excellence across industries that depend on speed, innovation, and quality.

History in the Making

Founded in 1981, Kittyhawk began with a single HIP vessel and has been growing to meet increasing demand ever since. Production Manager Brian Mascarenas has been part of that journey in California since 2010. “I had a buddy who told me they were hiring here, so I applied, and the rest is history,” he says. “It started as a family business, and even though I wasn’t family, I was always treated like it.”

That sense of continuity and belonging has helped Garden Grove maintain a strong, experienced workforce while adapting to the demands of modern manufacturing.

A Facility That Delivers

Today, Garden Grove operates with four shifts, each staffed by roughly three to four team members, along with about a dozen office employees supporting daily operations. Together, they keep the facility running around the clock. That means fast turnaround times and reliable processing.

Brian plays a key role in guiding that effort. “Leading the production staff has its challenges,” he explains, “but we have a great team. Everyone is willing to help each other, and that makes a big difference.”

From aerospace and defense to medical and commercial applications, the site handles a diverse mix of materials and manufacturing methods. Its long-standing experience with HIP allows the team to manage complex projects with confidence.

As the flagship, Garden Grove also plays an important role in supporting the broader Kittyhawk organization, helping maintain the standards and reliability customers expect across every location.

Looking Forward

Kittyhawk President Brandon Creason has been a member of the Garden Grove team since 2005. Over the years, he has helped guide Kittyhawk through major periods of growth, bringing together sales and operations to strengthen the company from the inside out.

“Garden Grove is our headquarters,” Brandon says. “But it is also where our culture, experience, and expertise began. That history matters and continues to influence how we do business.”

For Brandon, the future is about continuing to invest in both infrastructure and people. “We’re focused on building a system that can support where our customers are going, not just where they are today,” he says.

As demand for advanced manufacturing and HIP services increases every year, Garden Grove will continue to play a critical role in Kittyhawk’s evolution. It represents both where the company started and where it’s headed next.
